WHO CAN APPLY

Small business.
Big possibility.

Young entrepreneurs ages 15 and under when applying, from Omaha and surrounding communities. A parent or legal guardian completes the application and participates throughout the program.

No polished pitch deck needed. We want the child's own understanding, initiative, and a realistic plan—not adult-level presentation skills.

01 / SHARE THE IDEA

Complete the five short business-plan questions below, in the child's own words with adult help as needed.

02 / MAKE THE PITCH

Three finalists will be invited to give short presentations at 402 Day. Presentation logistics will be shared with their guardians.

03 / LAUNCH SOMETHING

One winner receives the complete launch package, a launch meeting, and a 30-day follow-up.

Application timeline

Applications are due February 15, 2027, at 11:59 PM CT. The three finalists will be notified by March 1, 2027, and invited to present at the April 2, 2027 celebration. Final event logistics will be shared with their parents or guardians.

Formation and ownership arrangements will be worked out with the winner's guardian before filing. Website scope, hosting coverage, launch-funding disbursement, and participation terms will be confirmed with the selected family before acceptance. Applying does not guarantee selection. No purchase or application fee is required.

402 Day Foundation will use these answers and your contact information to review the application, contact you about the award, and administer the program. Application records are stored privately, not displayed on the website. Only submit details needed to explain the business.
